Kristin Bassani

Kristin Bassani is a Young Adult author currently living in Pittsburgh, PA. She’s a proud Slytherin, with a massive Star Wars obsession. When she’s not busy writing, Kristin works in sales and marketing. In her free time, she can be found scouring her bookshelves to find space for the obscene amounts of books she collects.

She fell in love with books at a young age, following the harrowing adventures of Harry Potter. After peering into the Mirror of Erised and catching a glimpse of her dream to be a writer, writing TA novels just clicked. And from there, the story seems to have written itself. Kristin’s unbounded imagination coupled with her wealth of experiences growing up across the United States has had a major influence on her work.

With each new school year, Kristin found herself in a new city—and thankfully a new bookstore—with no shortage of Young Adult novels at her side. Her travels from New Jersey to Pennsylvania, Virginia, Las Vegas, Chicago, and New York broadened her horizons and cemented her desire to explore. After her graduation from the University of Pittsburgh, she chose to stay put, but the pull of her nomadic youth is difficult to ignore.

Kristin’s currently hard at work on a revision for her newest novel—this one is YA science fiction—before she dives back into the query trenches.
